Richard has over 15+ years of experience in information security, enterprise security architecture and cloud security. He has solved complex security challenges, helped evolve cloud security criteria, assessment procedures, and translate security requirements into robust next generation security architecture. He has conducted over one hundred-vulnerability assessment and penetration tests to mimic an attacker seeking to gain access to sensitive assets by exploiting security weaknesses existing within various IT environments from the Gaming Industry, Government, Foreign Embassy, Insurance, Critical Infrastructure to Engineering. He has also supported the development and execution of Cloud Security architecture with the Chief Security Office (CSO) of Canada’s second largest telecommunications carrier for internal business units and external customers. Additional efforts include Business Transformation's computing efforts through identification, prioritization, and authoring of critical Cloud security architecture decisions, requirements, guidelines, policies and procedures and performing security architecture reviews of TELUS' Cloud Offering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). He has extensive experience conducting Security Threat Risk Assessment in the Healthcare Industry.
